Teachers give so much of themselves—pouring time, energy, and even their own resources into helping students thrive, often while carrying heavy financial burdens of their own.
Megan is one of those teachers. A passionate special education teacher in Michigan, she loves her work deeply, pushing through long days and extra costs because making a difference in her students’ lives makes it all feel worth it. Still, the weight of student loans and tuition debt has been overwhelming.
With support from this community, Megan now has breathing room—and a reminder that teachers deserve to feel seen, supported, and uplifted for the incredible work they do every single day.
Opportunities like this can make the world better. Can make teachers be more successful and take the burdens off of our backs. And when I am able, I would like to pay it forward.
They are women you might pass in the hallway at work, sit next to on the bus, or share a smile with in the grocery line. Some are teachers shaping the next generation, some are caregivers or community leaders, and others are fighting through personal health challenges. Different paths, same reality: financial stress has weighed heavily on their shoulders.
