Celia is a single mom doing everything she can to hold it all together. She’s a breast cancer survivor who fell into financial hardship during COVID, and has been working hard to rebuild ever since.
But life hasn’t let up.
When her youngest son was just six years old, he was diagnosed with a rare bone disease—one that’s required constant medical care. Recently, he was hospitalized again and has been there for over 60 days now. Celia has been trying to be by his side while also working extra hours to stay afloat, but the toll on her mental health has been heavy.
Then, her car broke down. A setback that pushed her to do everything she could, including selling furniture, just to afford a replacement.Because of this community, she can finally take a breath. We're stepping in to help cover payments towards her new car loan, so she can get where she needs to be without giving up everything just to do it.

“It feels good to feel seen and to know that all of the things that I've done in the past in terms of helping others, is returning to me.”
Women you'd recognize—teachers, nurses, care givers, neighbors who wave stoically each morning. When medical emergencies, job loss, or trauma hit, everyday people need a helping hand to survive.
